Problem with Register and SP

I'chiliad yet in the process of setting up Cladbridge and have adapted all my setting for a different style of gameplay. I've move in one sim for testing.
1. I take Register set at nil for stay cats, dogs and horses (deer and Racoon immune) Now I find strays wandering around boondocks.
ii. I accept Register set up at Allow resident assignment set to False. I want to identify my own residents in register positions. I can't retrieve where the setting is but I too set it so the game won't place staff in the customs lots.
three. I have not allowed immigration simply have a family in 1 of my houses. How do I stop the game from adding families to my town?

one - I'one thousand not sure that 0 settings e'er worked for strays entirely. Just they shouldn't hang around in your earth very long. :(

2 -
NRaas > Register > Allow Clearing is the 1 that allows or disallows the modern to spawn new homeless NPCs to have upwards vacant role postions.
NRaas > Register > Allow Resident Assignment is the one that allows or disallows unemployed residents to exist assigned to vacant role positions.

Merely in addition to those, tin can you not merely switch off Enable Consignment on each Role object that you don't want Register to assign anyone to?

3 - I would desire to know who this family is and where they came from. They can't exist from SP Immigration if you have that shut downwards. Guess they can't be household splits from other residential families if you accept none other than your active sim/household yet. Do whatever of them have jobs or (as per higher up) have they been given Role assignments?

Cheers igazor, I practice have Register set to Let Immigration False. I go notices every few seconds about roles available merely besides none filled, which is what I desire at the moment. I'm merely using my ane sim for testing things out, then I'll movement in who I want to man the registers and assign them myself. The just register I have in game at the moment is the bookstore. All other venues have the savvier seller registers that are not set upwards all the same. I likewise have the game fix to clean out homeless. I just checked the family unit and none take jobs, they're listed as unemployed and accept no role position.

I suspect it'southward SP's Manage the Homeless then, helpfully saving that household for yous (even so they got to be in your globe) and giving the a dainty place to alive that yous and so thoughtfully provided. I never see new households arriving in my worlds and taking up residence unless they are conspicuously just immigrating in as they should be or I am moving them in myself and I never use that SP setting. Nor do I have OW set to Make clean Up the Homeless either -- mine are make clean enough equally they are, thanks. :)

LOL merely I don't want strange people moving in to my world. Then while trying to figure out who these people are, I discover a horse trying to get into another house, and found a devious cat on my sims doorstep. Couldn't figure that out equally I accept dogs cats and horses at Naught. I'chiliad going to simply keep building and testing and see who and what's around at the end. So I'll just TA the boondocks if necessary.

I've come to believe that "Manage the Homeless" means have care of them. Not necessarily delete them -- this is SP'southward choice I'm talking about, not OW. Every fourth dimension I hear players complaining that strangers are moving into their worlds but it's not immigration, it'south this (or something similar it). My point was, why not just let them be homeless? That doesn't mean indigent, it can mean they are commuting in from elsewhere to do...well, non certain what they would be doing if you aren't allowing them to have upwardly function positions and y'all don't need coworkers yet. Exist Showtime street performers, maybe?

And, by the way, since that horse and true cat would also be "homeless," that just adds more evidence to my theory. :)

Skillful point :) I simply checked OW and that's set to clean up homeless as well. When I starting time playing this town and have assigned all my residents their positions around boondocks, I'll probably change that setting for homeless and allow them. I don't mind having homeless sims. I just didn't like them being assigned to registers. The devious animals bug me. They're always whining or barking at my sims door and ripping up newspapers. If they were good piffling critters I wouldn't heed them. Only you invite them in and they tear up your business firm! Horses ever get stuck and accumulate in small area. And then I just don't allow them.... although this one snuck in somehow :)

^^^And that'southward one reason why I don't allow animals in my game. I think the funniest and well-nigh annoying was when a wild horse somehow got on top of the apartment roof on my sims firm and ate his garden that I had on the roof :)~

LOL! And I, on the other mitt, would not have wanted to miss that funny and annoying moment for anything. (makes mental annotation to add more strays and flat roofed houses to my game...)
